Contract writing is one of the most important tasks an agent has to do, so "knowing" the contract and what it means is essential to properly serving our clients.  This course provides a paragraph by paragraph analysis of the REIN Standard Purchase Agreement with helpful tips to help you best serve the buyer's needs.  It also addresses the best way to write the PICRA, provides Home Sale contingencies to favor the buyer or seller, and the other subtleties that can make or break a contract. Specific tips and suggested verbiage are provided to include in your templates, ensuring that you always present your client's offer in the best light possible.  Avoid the inevitable disputes that arise from poorly written contracts... do it right so you don't have to do it over. $30 members/$40 non-members.  REGISTER

VPAR has been an active and engaged community partner with the cities of Hampton and Newport News in the development and ongoing activity of their respective rental inspection programs. From working toward high standards in property management, education in tenant responsibility, improved housing stock and enhanced curb appeal and maintenance of rental properties, VPAR has strong ties to the Zoning and Codes Compliance offices in both cities. Join Harold Roach, Director of Codes Compliance in the City of Newport News, and Kimberly Mikel, Property Maintenance Division Manger for the City of Hampton, along with their rental inspection officials, as they discuss the status of their current programs, their challenges and opportunities, and how VPAR members can continue the 20-plus year partnership with the cities in both of these programs.
