Selling REOs to owner-occupants is easier under a federal directive that creates a 20-day window for households to buy Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac REOs before investors can buy them. Other stories in The Voice for Real Estate for the week of March 30 talk about the special enrollment period for obtaining health coverage in 2015 and the increase in existing-home sales seen in February data.
It is with a very heavy heart that the staff of VPAR learned of the passing of one of our Past Presidents, Margaret Hodges Lassiter.
Margaret served as our VPAR President in the year 2003 and she also received numerous awards such as Salesperson of the Year and Manager of the Year. She continued to participate on committees up until her passing and was most recently Chair of the 2015 Awards Committee.
Margaret Hodges Lassiter funeral arrangements will be as follows: Viewing open to family and friends on Friday, March 27th from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at the Peninsula Funeral Home on 11144 Warwick Blvd., Newport News, VA 23601. Her sons have requested that her friends wear football jerseys to honor Margaret – a very loyal Redskin fan. A graveside funeral for FAMILY ONLY
will be Sunday at 3:00 p.m.
There is also a site set up by her son requesting that in lieu of flowers to please make a donation to help with funeral costs. It’s http://www.gofundme.com/plwcfo.
